  1. Ha @notthatmilo, you’re not the only one! -My wife asked during the game, “Is that the same Joe Linton that Bob Mortimer’s Train Guy always talks about?”.

“No, that’s Jeff Linton and this is Joelinton!” 😂

        1. @hallenbeck @Sam @spurs @notthatmilo @GameIsGloryPod I actually don't know if I have seen him play. He was only recently called up to the USMNT & was cover for Tyler Adams (who is now hurt). I see no reason why Lange would have included him in the deal, if they weren't interested in signing him. BTW- Cardoso came on as a substitute in Betis' 0-2 Real Madrid loss.

You can look back over his ratings on Sofascore. Looks like he started really well at Betis and perhaps tailed off a bit towards the end of the season. Will be very interesting to watch his progress. Basically all the upside of a player we've already signed (e.g. like Yang, Vušković), but without the downside of what to do if he turns out not so great. And he's getting experience against good sides in La Liga.

    1. Absolutely. A conclusion I came to last season. I still dip in to The Tottenham Way from time to time for Dan KP but TGIAG is head and shoulders above any of the others I’ve heard. Good on Milo for directing people out of Twitter too. Just wish he’d broaden it out to The Fediverse rather than just Bluesky’s corner of it – don’t want people thinking Bluesky is the only part of it. @spurs @hallenbeck @GameIsGloryPod

      1. @Sam @spurs Yeah like TTW. I also like to listen to Ali and Rob on Gold and Guest.

The great benefit of Bluesky is that it's easy to explain and talk about, and easy to get people to sign up and get started. It's a bit of a shame the fediverse doesn't get included in the conversation, but it's hard to talk about without getting into the technical weeds. I just hope Bridgy keeps getting better and, ideally, one day BSky supports a ATP to AP bridge natively.

That's a fair criticism of me failing to give this place a shout out this week too. I have in the past but I do think that Bluesky is a bit easier for people who are used to Twitter to get used to. Hopefully, all of the brilliant work that @hallenbeck is doing convincing people to bridge will make it irrelevant which platform people prefer

          2. Yep, it’s an issue this place has (which will be ironed out in time) that the onboarding process is not seamless.

I have a bridging issue in that I can’t currently bridge as it’s blocked by my (and many other) server(s) (although my admins are coming round to the idea) and I don’t want to move because my number one priority (yes, even over Spurs!) is being on a platform that is 100% genuinely served by renewables.

Keep up the good work @notthatmilo and @hallenbeck. @spurs
